A suspect in an armed robbery in McHenry County led police on a high-speed chase from Skokie to Winnetka Friday morning, police said. The chase ended in his arrest and there were no accidents or injuries.

The man was spotted in Skokie and fled. He was pursued by police who put out a call that there was a police chase happening northbound on the Edens, Winnetka Police Chief Patrick Kreis said. He did not know the man's name or the details of the robbery he is wanted for.

The man exited the highway at Lake Avenue in Wilmette and then headed north via Ridge, Church and Green Bay roads in Winnetka, Kreis said. The man then drove into the two-story parking garage at Green Bay Road and Merril Street and drove to the lower level.
