Police: 15-Year-Old Shot Air Rifle at Moving Vehicles

The 15-year-old boy allegedly fired the air gun at cars.

A 15-year-old boy from the New Trier Township has been cited for unlawful discharging an air gun at moving vehicles, according to Winnetka Police reports. The boy was issued the citation on July 16.

"We received a call from our complainant who indicated his vehicle was struck multiple times by BB’s while driving in the area of Green Bay Road and Hill Terrace," said Joe Pellus, Winnetka Deputy Chief of Police. "Our investigation identified a 15 year old as the responsible."

Pellus noted that while incidents like this happen on occasion, it's not a recurring issue in the community.
