Pellet Gun Causes $9K in Damages at New Trier

Someone also stole a wallet from a car on Forest Glen Drive.

The following information is from the Winnetka Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Criminal damage

An employee at New Trier High School discovered April 22 that someone used an air soft gun with projectile pellets to damage eight windows on the west side of the school. Damage is estimated at $9,500.

Someone used blue and green spray paint to write graffiti on the north walls of the Willow Road tunnel. The graffiti was discovered April 25. Damage is estimated at $300.

Green and black spray painted graffiti was discovered the same evening on the bridge wall and metal beam in the 600 block of Pine Street. Damage is estimated at $200.

Burglary to a motor vehicle

Someone removed a wallet from an unlocked vehicle in the 1200 block of Forest Glen Drive sometime between 5 p.m. April 24 and 11 a.m. April 25.
