Northfield Resident Reports Plow Damage During Winter Storm

Also featured in this week's blotter: two coyote sightings near Northfield homes.

The following reports were provided by the Northfield Police Department.

Wrong Plow

On March 8, a Northfield resident reported an unknown snow plow cleared his lot on the 1600 block of Willow Road, damaging cement curbs and wood landscaping, according to police. The resident said he did not hire anyone to plow, police say.

Coyote Sightings

On March 5, a Northfield resident saw a coyote in their front yard on the 2300 block of Pebblefork Lane, according to police.

On March 8, someone saw a coyote in their backyard on the 0-100 block of Longmeadow Road, police say. 

Hazard

On March 10, someone reported a sawhorse in the middle of the roadway on the 1600 block of Willow Road, according to police. Responding officers did not find anything in the area, police say.

Suspicious Person

On March 7, someone reported a man loitering on the 300 block of S. Happ Road, according to police. The man was waring a dark hooded sweatshirt and sitting on a bench near a shopping center, according to reports.

Responding officers found an Evanston man who said he arrived to work early because of the bus schedule and liked to pass the time by sitting near the shopping center, police say. No arrests were reported.
