Northfield Police: Hit and Run, Telephone Threats

Road Hazards
On Feb. 1, someone notified Northfield Police to report numerous, large nails on the roadway near the 1600 block of Willow Rd., police say. The responding officer removed debris from the road with the help of a nearby business owner, according to police.

On Feb. 4, someone reported a gravel truck had lost part of its load near the intersection of Willow Rd. and Sunset Ridge Rd., according to police. A nearby work crew had cleaned up the debris by the time a responding officer arrived, police say.

On Feb. 4, someone visited the Northfield Police Station to report an unknown vehicle struck her car while it was parked in the Orchard St. municipal lot, according to police.
Suspicious Auto
On Jan. 30, someone on the 2300 block of Dorina Dr. called 911 to report a vehicle parked in their private drive with a sleeping man inside, police say. Responding officers found no matching vehicle in the area, according to police.
Telephone Threats
On Jan. 29, someone on the 300 block of Thackeray Ln. reported ongoing, threatening calls made to his phone, which police say they are investigating.
