Northfield Police Blotter: Vehicle Theft, Stolen Prescriptions

A summary of the Northfield Police Department's crime report for Feb. 25 to Feb. 28

The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, Feb. 28

Theft: Police were called at 8:30 a.m. to AT&T's offices at the 1700 block of Winnetka Ave. According to the police report, 1,300 feet of wire at an estimated value of $9,274 was missing. The case is under investigation.

Traffic Arrest: Police arrested a woman at 9:20 p.m. at Ash Street and Central Ave. for driving with a license that had been suspended in November 2009. She was released after paying a $1,500 recognizance bond. A court date was set for April 12.

Sunday, Feb. 27 

Order of Protection: Police arrested a 49-year-old woman in the 700 block of Happ Road for violating an order of protection. She was held overnight and paid 10 percent of her $10,000 bond. Her court date is March 3. 

Theft: Police arrested a 27-year-old employee at a psychiatrist's office in the 400 block of Central Ave. for stealing six prescription scripts. She was released on a $1,000 bond. A court date was set for March 10.

 

Friday, Feb. 25

Vehicle Theft: Police were called at 4 p.m. to the BMW dealer at the 700 block of Frontage Road for motor vehicle theft. A 2011 sports utility vehicle worth $66,565 had been stolen out of the service pay, according to the police report. Police located the vehicle—which had a flat tire—in North Riverside the next morning, but no arrests have been made.
