Northfield Police Blotter: Vandalism, Speeding and Illegal Fireworks
A summary of police reports occurring from April 6-11.
The following items are taken from Northfield Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
April 7
Illegal fireworks: A group of children were allegedly launching fireworks off a bridge near Willow and Northfield roads. A caller notified the police about 7:30 p.m.

April 9:
Aggravated speeding: Police arrested a 16-year-old Glencoe boy on a charge of driving 44 mph over the 20 mph speed limit along a stretch of Old Willow Road. He was released to the custody of his parents and his court date is April 22.

Illegal fireworks: Fireworks were reported being lit around 8:15 p.m. in Sunset Ridge Road.
April 11:
Vandalism: A motorcyclist allegedly graffitied the wall just south of Willow Road along the northbound Edens Expressway. The incident was reported around 11:40 p.m.
