Northfield Police Blotter: Theft, Misuse of Handicap Placard
The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Dec. 15
Theft - A student left her bag unsecured inside the girl's locker room at New Trier (7 S. Happ Rd.). When she returned, she found her iPhone 4 missing. The phone is valued at $250.
Revoked handicap placard - Police saw a 67-year-old Northbrook woman park in a spot reserved for disabled drivers without displaying a placard. When the officer confronted her, she produced a placard—but one that was registered to a male (her brother) at a different address. She turned over the placard and was cited for violating a local ordinance. Her court date is Feb. 6.

Possible vandalism - A resident in the 1600 block of Orchard Lane noticed that his garbage cans were knocked down overnight, and one of the lids was missing. He suspected vandalism; police thought it might have been the wind.

Suspended driver's license - Police stopped a 31-year-old Highland Park woman for disobeying the stop sign on the eastbound exit at I-94 and Willow Road. They discovered she was driving on a suspended Arizona license. She was released on a $3,000 i-bond and given a court date of Jan. 20.
