Northfield Police Blotter: Wallet Thievery, No DL
The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. In the case of an arrest, individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Negligent Driver
A police officer stopped a 16-year-old Wilmette boy for doing donuts and squealing his tires in the New Trier parking lot around 9:30 p.m. June 29. The driver was given a local ordinance violation and has a court date July 23.
No driver's License

Police stopped a 42-year-old Chicago man for driving 41 mph in a 20-mph zone in the 2200 block of Old Willow Road June 25. They discovered that he had no valid driver's license and released him on a $1,500 i-bond. His court date is July 10.
Police stopped a 22-year-old Chicago man in the 2100 block of Willow Road for driving 64 mph in a 35-mph zone June 28. They also found he had no proof of insurance or a valid driver's license. He was released on a $2,000 10-percent-applied bond and has a court date of Aug. 10.

Police stopped a 32-year-old Chicago man for disobeying a no-left-turn sign on Central Avenue June 29. They discovered he also had no driver's license. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond and has a court date Aug. 10.

Suspended Driver's License
Police stopped a 37-year-old Glenview man just before 5:30 p.m. June 28 on Sunset Ridge Road. They discovered his license had been suspended for financial and safety reasons and that he had no valid insurance. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond. His court date is July 20.
Theft
A man discovered his wallet was missing when he left his office for the day July 2. He had last used it at Dominick's to purchase lunch, and when had returned to work, he put it on his desk. It disappeared later in the day. The wallet itself was worth $30, and there were $70 in credit cards and cash inside.
