Northfield Police Blotter: Burglary, Property Damage

A summary of events from May 10 to May 17.

The following items are taken from the Northfield Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Please e-mail the editor with any questions or to provide proof of expungement.

May 10

Property damage: Someone rear-ended a Lisle woman's 2009 Honda Odyssey sometime before 1:20 p.m. in the parking lot of New Trier's Northfield campus. It was a hit-and-run incident, with the other driver leaving no contact details behind.

May 11

Burglary: An alarm went off in a house in the 300 block of Thackeray Lane around 8:20 in the evening. Police found the door open, but no one was inside and nothing looked out of place. They speculated the alarm may have scared off whoever was trying to enter.
