Northfield Cops Arrest Dundee Man After Hit and Run

The following reports were provided by the Northfield Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not guarantee guilt.

Hit and Run
On Dec. 30, a driver reported her car was struck from behind while she was stopped at a red light near Willow and Waukegan roads, according to police. The offending vehicle sped off, but the victim followed the car until it entered the southbound I-294 expressway, police say.

Carl was charged with failure to reduce speed, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give aid or info and failure to notify police of an accident, according to police.

On Jan. 4, an officer saw a vehicle in a snowdrift with its lights on and engine running, according to police. The driver was unresponsive and the officer saw open alcohol in the car's passenger seat, police say. The officers arrested the driver, Christian S.
