Multiple Coyote Sightings in Northfield

The following reports were provided by the Northfield Police Department.

Coyote Sightings
On Nov. 19 and 20, there were three coyote sightings on the 2300 block of Pebblefork Lane, according to police.

Hit and Run
On Nov. 21, someone returned to their vehicle parked near Mt. Pleasant Street and W. Frontage Road to find the front driver side of their vehicle damaged, according to police. The driver then found a note from a witness who described the offending vehicle as a yellow, rented Penske truck, police say. The witness then provided a photo of the truck, but it was unclear who the driver was or what the truck's license plate number was, according to the report.

No Driver's License
Northfield police arrested Manuel Reyes-Alvarez, 35, of Chicago, for disobeying a no left turn sign, driving without tail lights and without a valid driver's license, according to police.

Suspicious Activity
On Nov. 21, an employee from a business on 500 block of Central Avenue reported a possible fraudulent online purchase from Oregon State University, according to police. The order, for several Garmin navigation devices, was made from a non Oregon State email address, and the shipment was requested to San Diego, according to the report. The business found a warning to vendors about fraudulent requests on the Oregon State website, and did not complete the order, police say.
