Man Charged With Soliciting a Minor Expected to Plead Soon

Michael Rosenberg agreed to meet, provide alcohol and do various sexual acts with what he believed was a minor girl at the end of March. He was indicted Monday.

Michael Rosenberg, 63, of Wilmette is being charged with indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a child and grooming. He was indicted on Monday, and his arraignment — where he will be assigned to a judge and will plead guilt or not guilty — will be held on May 13. 

Wilmette Police arrested Rosenberg after an investigation between March 27 and March 28. During that time, Rosenberg allegedly agreed to perform various sexual acts with what he believed to be a minor girl, according to police. He also agreed to provide her with alcohol, Wilmette Police reports state. 

Detectives set up a meeting at Rosenberg's home on March 28 and he was then taken into custody, police state.
