Hill Road Gets Hit By Repeat Vandals

Five different incidents of damage to light poles, a car window and a village traffic barricade were discovered between March 29 and 30.

The following information is from the Winnetka Police Department.

Someone shattered the rear lift gate window of a vehicle with an unknown object in the 800 block of Hill Road overnight on March 29. A driveway sign belonging to a neighbor was found inside the vehicle on the rear floorboards. Repair cost is $600.

While investigating other damage, an officer saw that two houses had damaged light poles in the 1200 block of Hill Road. Repair cost is unknown at this time.

A resident in the 1100 block of Hill Road discovered that two light poles on his property were damaged and one was removed from the ground overnight on March 29. Three driveway markers were also damaged. Repair costs are $2,000.

Another resident of the 1100 block of Hill Road discovered that someone had damaged a light pole on his property overnight on March 29. Repair costs are $1,000.

While investigating other damage in the area, a police officer found a traffic barricade belonging to the village in the 1100 block of Hill Road that had been damaged. Repair costs are $100.
