Glencoe Public Safety Rescues Two by Boat

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Suspicious People
A caller to Glencoe Public Safety reported that there were two suspicious males, "smoking and holding backpacks" on the 900 block of Glencoe Dr. on Sept. 20. When the officers arrived, they were unable to locate the individuals. 

Ordinance Violation
A resident reported that an individual at the intersection of Adams Ave. and Randolph Rd. was mowing his lawn before 9 a.m. on a Saturday. Police spoke to the homeowner, who wasn't aware of the ordinance. 

Bike Theft
A resident reported that his bike was stolen from the Glencoe Public Library on Sept. 21, police reports state. The bike was locked at the time. 

Sprinkler System on for 24 Hours
A resident reported that a sprinkler system at a home on the 800 block of Bluff St. has been on for 24 hours, reports state. Police spoke to the homeowner, who said they would take care of it. 

Stray Dog
A resident reported that there was a Doberman/Shepard mix dog running around the 18th hole at the Glencoe Golf Course on Sept. 26, reports state. The dog was gone when police arrived. 

Lost Article
A child's viola is missing from Central School as of Sept. 26. 

Boat Rescue
Glencoe Public Safety rescued two out-of-state visitors via the department's boat, reports state. The visitors reportedly entered the peninsula at the north end of the Skokie Lagoons, and one had a medical issue that required attention. The visitor is reportedly okay.
