Glencoe Police Blotter: GPS Stolen from an Unlocked Vehicle

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 22

Residential burglary – A victim discovered an unknown assailant broke into his house on the 400 block of Adams. Entry was made through the rear window of the residence. The screen was cut and the window pried open. The residents were out of town at the time of the burglary.

Dec. 21

Traffic arrest - Luis Partida-Contreras, 50, of Cicero, was arrested at the intersection of Forestway Drive and Tower Road, for running a stop sign. He was also charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and operating a vehicle without proof of insurance. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 27.

Dec. 19

DUI – Travis J. Emberton, 26, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content over .08. The arrest was made subsequent to a traffic violation at Dundee Road and the Edens Expressway. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 12. 

Dec 15

Burglary of a motor vehicle - A resident reported her car broken into 1100 block of Greenbay Road. The car was broken into sometime overnight. A GPS unit and charger were removed from the unlocked vehicle.
