Glencoe Police Blotter: Domestic Battery and Scooter Swiped

The following information was supplied by the Glencoe Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Arrest 

William L. Nickel, 60, of the 200 block of Woodlawn Avenue was arrested for a domestic disturbace at his residence on June 18 at 10:06 p.m.  Nickel was taken into custody and transported to a bond hearing June 19.  

Salvador Alvarez-Chavez, 39, of the 5000 block of West 23rd Street, Cicero, was arrested for no valid driver's license and a defective windshield June 19 at 11:10 a.m.

Moe J. Gorsline, 46, of the 1500 block of Heather Court, Wheeling, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with an alcohol concentration of greater than .08 on June 17 at Lake Cook Road and St. Johns.  

Theft

A resident reported on June 14 that a female 26-inch bicycle was stolen from a bike rack behind her residence in the 600 block of Vernon Avenue. The theft is believed to have occurred between June 1 and June 14.  The bike was reportedly not locked at the time of the theft and is valued at $400.  

The parents of Winnetka boy reported on June 18 that that their son's blue Electric Razor Scooter was taken from behind the 7-Eleven located at 107 Green Bay Road. The scooter is valued at $400.

A resident reported on June 18 that a blue mountain bike with a blue bag attached to it was taken from outside the Glencoe Public Library.  The bike was reportedly not locked at the time of the theft and is valued at $300.
