Glencoe Blotter: Woman Cited for Driving Onto Beach

A summary of crimes reported in Glencoe from Sept. 7-10.

The following items are provided by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Please email the editor with any questions or to provide proof of expungement.

Youth Nuisance — A woman reported that seven teenagers were urinating on her front yard at 9:21 p.m. in the 500 block of Orchard Lane. She told police they had parked a black SUV on the street, but the group was gone when police arrived.

Loud Party — A loud party that had a live band was reported in the 400 block of Lakeside Terrace at 11:12 p.m. When police arrived, the music was turned off and the partygoers were advised to keep the noise level down.

Trespassing — Nataliya Kokhan, 29, of Wheeling, was cited on charges of driving onto the Glencoe Beach at 4:35 p.m. in first block of Park Avenue.

Sept. 9

Littering — Thirteen unopened cans of beer were found on the Green Bay Trail on the 100 block of Glenwood Avenue. There were also three plastic garbage bags full of empty beer cans. The content of the full beer cans were emptied on the ground by police.

Sept. 8

Lost Hearing Device — A boy lost his hearing aids in or around West School in the 1000 block of Forestway Drive at 2:21 p.m., according to police.

Chipmunk Nuisance — A chipmunk was reported in a house at 11:15 a.m. on the 400 block of Dundee Road. Police removed the animal.

Sept. 7

Overgrown Shrubbery — A 49-year-old Glencoe woman was cited on charges of having overgrown landscaping at 5:34 p.m. in the 600 block of Apple Tree Lane. Police said the village had already sent her a letter regarding the ordinance violation on overgrown landscaping.

Missing Dog — A gray female miniature schnauzer named Molly went missing from her owner's yard at 3:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Sunset Lane. The owner searched for about 40 minutes but was unable to find the dog.
