Summary of police reports from Oct. 6 through Oct. 12.

The  provided the following reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aggravated DUI — Glencoe police arrested a 61-year-old man from Winnetka at 11:14 p.m., on a felony drunk-driving charge, after police found his license plate had been suspended for a previous DUI charge.

The officer who stopped the man at the intersection of Scott Avenue and Lake Street asked him for his drivers license, but because it'd been suspended, he didn't have one. He was then charged with aggravated DUI.

With alcohol on his breadth and blood-shot eyes, the Winnetka resident submitted to a series of field-sobriety tests, which he failed, and a breathalyzer test, which he also failed.

Oct. 11

Check Forgery — After a four-month investigation, Glencoe police arrested Kimberly E. Even, 47, for check forgery amounting to $16,600 at Chase Bank, 45 Green Bay Road.

Even committed the white-collar felony, Kebby said, by forging four checks under the name of a Fox River Grove resident. Kebby said he didn't know if the resident's funds were dispersed.

Even, who resided at 340 Jefferson Ave., was previously served with warrants from McHenry County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois and Utah County, Utah.

She is currently being held at Cook County Jail and “will be a guest of the county for a while,” Kebby speculated.

Stolen iPhone — The father of a 12-year-old student at Central School, 620 Greenwood Ave., said his son's $750, Generation-4 iPhone was stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m at the school. After showing it to fellow students on his way to class, the touchscreen phone, with expensive protective casing, went missing.

Oct. 12

Peeping Tom — Shortly after 10:48 p.m., Glencoe police stopped a man matching the description of a 24-year-old white male, who'd been caught looking through the windows of a woman's home in the 100 block of Linden Avenue.

When the woman yelled at him to leave, the man — wearing a blue baseball cap, sweater and jeans — was slow to react.

Seemingly inebriated, the trespasser left stumbling down the driveway. After police picked up a man who matched his description, the woman chose not to identify him, so he wasn't charged. Glencoe police are still investigating the case, however.
