Glencoe Blotter: Battery, Reckless Driving, Forged Checks

Battery

Lewis Bond, 42, of 1190 Terrace Ct., Glencoe, was charged with domestic battery Aug. 5. He was issued an Aug. 13 court date. 

Reckless driving

Matthew Bodine, 22, of 400 Lincoln Ave., Glencoe, was arrested on Aug. 8 for leaving the scene of accident and driving off the roadway. He was issued a Sept. 19 court date. 

Theft Under $300

A resident in the 400 block of Park Avenue reported that someone made unauthorized transactions on her debit account between July 28 and 30. 

Theft Under $300

A wallet containing identification and credit cards was stolen from the Glencoe Art Festival on Aug. 4. No loss estimate was provided. 

Identity Theft

A resident in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue reported on Aug. 11 that someone forged two checks totaling $5,000 using her personal information. The resident discovered the incident when her debit card was declined. The bank is expected to cover the loss, according to police. 

Traffic violations

Malcolm L. Washington, 41, of 21202 Main St., Matteson, was charged Aug. 6 for improper passing, reckless driving and failing to yield to emergency vehicle. Glencoe detectives in an unmarked car returning to Glencoe from the Skokie courthouse observed Washington driving on the shoulder of the Edens Expressway.
