German Shepherd Causes Multiple Police Calls

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suspicious Person

On July 30, a Northfield resident called to report a man in his mid 30s sitting in a dark Ford truck outside the caller's home, on the 800 block of Happ Road, according to police. When a resident approached the vehicle, the man said he was just texting, although the caller was concerned the man was filming her son playing basketball nearby, according to police. 

On August 3, a Northfield resident called to report a man in a blue truck passed by the residence several times, possibly recording him, police say. Officers did not locate a blue truck in the area, according to police. 

German Shepherd

On July 31, a Northfield resident came into the Northfield Police Department to report a German Shepherd was loose on the 400 block of Sunset Ridge Road and attacked the resident's dog, according to police. The resident declined to press charges, police say. 

Later that day, someone called to report a German Shepherd was running in traffic on Sunset Ridge, but responding officers found the dog at its owners home, according to police. 

On August 1, a Northfield resident called police to notify the German Shepherd was being aggressive and stalked someone as they walked past it along the sidewalk, police say. Responding officers found the dog fenced in at its owner's home, according to police. 

On August 5, Northbrook officers had detained a German Shepherd that was chasing a child, police say. Officers later returned the dog to its owner, according to police.
