ComEd: Power Outages Could Last For Days
Agency reports that 267,000 customers have lost power in its service area.
UPDATE, 10:08 a.m.: A ComEd spokesperson told Patch the number of customers without power in the northern region is now 88,000 down from 187,000 earlier this morning.
Restoring power to ComEd's northern region, including Northfield and Glencoe, could be a multiple-day effort due to the extent of the damage, a ComEd spokesperson told Patch.
About half of Glencoe households and many Northfield residents are without power after Tuesday's storm, according to those villages.

In the agency's northern region, which was hit the hardest, there are 187,000 customers without power, according to ComEd. In total, 267,000 customers are affected.
More than 400 crews are out working to restore power, the agency reports.
