The Glencoe Public Safety Department implicated a Chicago woman in the string of auto burglaries that hit 16 cars in Glencoe this winter.
Sharon Delgado, 21, of Chicago was arrested at her home on the 1800 block of North California Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago on Wednesday. She was charged with three felony counts of burglary to motor vehicle.

According to Glencoe Deputy Chief Al Kebby, Deerfield Police spotted the stolen car and then chased the vehicle before it was driven off the road. Delgado had been inside a second car behind the stolen vehicle. Deerfield Police and Glencoe detectives later tied Delgado and her companions to a slew of auto burglaries in Highland Park, Riverwoods, Deerfield and Glencoe. Kebby said many of the stolen items were recovered in the possession of Delgado and her accomplices, including a number of GPS devices and a Timmy the Train toy.
Delgado had been initially charged in Lake County before charges were handed down Wednesday in Glencoe. Her Cook County court date is set for next Tuesday, March 8.
