$10K Stolen Due to Identity Theft, Florida Women Arrested for Fraud

From driving under the influence to fraud, here are the latest reports from Winnetka Police Department.

Identity Theft

A resident in the 300 block of Sheridan Road reported that someone used his personal information and have been using them to obtain credit, money, services and other properties in excess of $10,000 between April 1st and Nov. 21. Police are still investigating the case. 

Fraud

Molly E. Meiring, 35, of 5741 NE 18th Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., was arrested for identity theft and forger at 62 Green Bay Road on Nov. 29. The arrest was made after police received a call of a suspicious person attempting to cash a check with a fake identity card at the bank’s drive-thru lane. Meiring was issued a Dec. 3 court date. 

DUI

Jeffrey T. Oehlerking, 25, of 593 St. Mark Parkway, Buffalo Grove, Ill., was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at Will Road and Lagoon Drive in Northfield. He was also cited for speeding and improper lane usage. He was issued a Dec. 18 court date.
