Donald Rumsfeld, New Trier Grad, 'Brilliant, Arrogant, Aloof, Difficult'

A book looking at the legacy of George W. Bush's presidency also dives into the Donald Rumsfeld's impact on the United States government.

In the book Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House, author Peter Baker spends considerable time looking at Donald Rumsfeld, a New Trier grad and the United States' Secretary of Defense during George W. Bush's first term as president.

According to Chicago Magazine, readers might walk away from the book seeing Rumsfeld as "brilliant, arrogant, aloof, difficulty... Reading Baker’s book, one can only wish that Rumsfeld, whose ambition was to be President (well, VP to start) had decided that one time as Secretary of Defense was enough."

The book currently has a 4.5 star average out of 54 user reviews on Amazon
