Obituary: Marc Cardoza

The former Winnetkan passed away at 43 years old.

Marc Cardoza, 43, of Winnetka, passed away on November 11.

Marc leaves behind his best friend and adoring wife Virginia, his much loved children Jack and Caroline, his parents Jack and Karen Cardoza and his brother John (Debbe), his in-laws, Philip and Donna Stockton, his grandparents Jack and Eleanor Cardoza and Betty Mason, brother in-law John Stockton, niece and nephews Anya, Graham and Lucas; and many cousins.

Marc was a graduate of Glenbrook South High School and North Park College. Marc had a successful career at the Board of Trade working side by side with his father, which allowed him to take an early retirement that he enjoyed thoroughly spending time with his family at their homes in Michigan and Hubbard Woods.

Marc coached baseball and football in Winnetka and Glenview for many years. He enjoyed Chicago sports, fishing, playing endless games of cards, spending time with friends and telling tales. His stories were seldom completely accurate but always hilarious; his embellishments always improving the story. Marc will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Road, Skokie.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1024 Lake Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091.
