NSCDS Basketball Results for January 14 - 19

North Shore Country Day School girls' and boys' basketball team results for the week of January 14th.

Raider Boys' Basketball

Tuesday, January 15 vs. Elgin Academy

On Tuesday night, the boys traveled to Elgin where they overpowered the opposition 90 to 29. Riley Hall led all scorers with 19. Swimmer and Morette added 16 points.

Friday, January 18 vs. Francis W. Parker School

The Raiders lost on a buzzer beater Friday night at Francis W. Parker.

With 3:40 left in the game, down 15 points, Jamie Swimmer forced a jump ball. Langdon Neal was tied in the jump and picked up two technical fouls arguing the call. North Shore was awarded four free throws and the ball. Swimmer connected on all four and Elias Butler went on to drain a three-pointer on the same possession, cutting the lead to eight.

Butler went on to nail two more threes. Coupled with four points from junior forward Ian Meyer, the Raiders caught the ball when they were down one point, and Riley Hall scored on a slashing basket to put the Raiders up one with 10 seconds left. With two seconds left on the clock, Zack Kupferberg of Francis W. Parker scored the winning basket for his team.

Tuesday, January 15 vs. Ida Crown

Ida Crown 34, North Shore 17.

Individual Scoring:
Annie Kroll 7, Safia Vohra 4, Rebecca Slotkin 2, Meghan Nolan 2, Ilhana Redzovic 2.

 

Wednesday, January 16 vs. Francis W. Parker School

Francis Parker 36, North Shore 20.

Individual Scoring:
Annie Kroll 6, Claire McCarthy 6, Meghan Nolan 2, Safia Vohra 0, Ilhana Redzovic 4, Sara Fuchs 2.

 

North Shore Country Day School, established in 1919, is a college-preparatory school of 500 students in grades junior kindergarten through 12th grade, located at 310 Green Bay Road in Winnetka.
