The book takes place in Hyde Park, where the author currently lives with her husband, and was a New York Times Bestseller for over 30 weeks.

Ms. Balliett’s other children’s books include The Wright 3The Calder Game and The Danger Box. Among other awards, her various titles have been recognized as Child Magazine Best Children’s Book, Edgar Award Winner, Book Sense Book of the Year, and New York Times Notable Book.
