 “Out of clutter, find simplicity”

         Albert Einstein

When someone calls in a Professional Organizer it is often out of desperation.  There is still this notion that having a professional to help you with this type of maintenance is shameful.  Ultimately, one should be able to do this sort of thing herself, like brushing your own teeth.  However, for a thorough deep cleaning, not to mention checking for non-visible pot holes, seeing the dentist twice a year is highly recommended.

Professional Organizers offer a fresh pair of eyes, bringing with them a bag load of tricks and solutions.  That new vision comes with the absence of emotional attachment to the stuff, in a world where stuff is out of control.  Professional Organizers offer creative ideas and hands-on help, facilitating the management of a physical space.

In the last several years, the Organizing Industry has seen huge growth, and in spite of that, most people, even now, are embarrassed they cannot conquer their mess alone.  It is time to let go of this notion.

Television shows, like Clean House, Mission Organization and Clean Sweep have filled our living rooms.  Oprah has been on a clutter clearing mission around the country.  The zen-ness of an organized office or closet is current and trendy.  I look forward to the days where the idea  “more is better” and the “keeping up with the Jones” mentality is equal to the story your grandfather told of walking miles to school in the snow.  It is history.  We are in a new age, and not just the Age of Aquarius, but rather the Age of Acquiring less.

Feng Shui has many good concepts, ones I still take into consideration, but the thrust of what I do now is to create the aaahhh sensation.  My team and I are The Wizards of Aaahhhs.  Helping people to achieve an environment, simultaneously efficient and beautiful, is where my focus lies.  That wow factor and over-the-top sorting, propelling clients to walk into a room or open a closet door repeatedly, just to get a buzz, is what inspires me to continue.

There is nothing more satisfying or that provides more immediate gratification than creating spaces that give people this feeling.  The knowledge and study of Feng Shui, in it’s traditional and non-traditional form, became the end of Clutterbusters, which I determined sounded more like a cleaning service and less like a service fostering spaces to nurture and feed the soul.  A new name and concept was born ~ Clear Your Space…Clear Your Mind.  This phrase says it all.  When you clear your space you achieve peace of mind.

Creating in this playground I call space is what I do.  I know when environments are inspiring, streamlined and alluring they naturally contribute to a person’s well-being.  Well-being is like sailing downstream.  When we go to work and our surroundings work for us and not against, or when we come home at the end of a day and feel welcomed and soothed, we tap into those happy feelings.  Ultimately that is the most powerful point of attraction and the best Feng Shui remedy I can offer.
