US zoos are working with ECO-CELL to recycle cellphones -- and surprisingly, reduce the mining of a certain ore that threatens the habitat of lowland gorillas.

Our first episode tells how industrial mining for an ore used in the manufacture of cell phones is diminishing the habitat of the gorillas in the Congo, and how an organization a network of zoos are recycling cell phones to reduce the ore’s demand.   We like the part at the end about happy gorillas!
