Sister of 1990 Winnetka Murder Victim Confronts Killer

Jeanne Bishop says forgiving David Biro, her sister's killer, is important for her as a Christian.

In 1990, David Biro, then a senior at New Trier High School, was sentenced to a life in prison for killing Winnetka's Nancy and Richard Langert.

After 23 years, Nancy's sister, Jeanne Bishop, has begun writing letters and visiting Biro, in an effort to extend forgiveness, the Chicago Tribune reports.

"Sometimes what faith tells you to do sounds impossible, almost irrational," Bishop told the Chicago Tribune. "Jesus said love your enemies."
