Making Our Communities Accessible: Housing Solutions for People with Disabilities

The Interfaith Housing Center of the Northern Suburbs is hosting its 7th Annual Fair Housing Month public forum in partnership with JJ’s List on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 6:30pm – 8:30 pm.  It will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1024 Lake Avenue, in Wilmette.  The event is free of charge and open to all.

Making Our Communities Accessible: Housing Solutions for People with Disabilities will feature a panel of experts to describe:

  • Innovative housing options for individuals with disabilities;
  • Ordinances and zoning regulations that can protect people with disabilities, and;
  • Fair housing rights and responsibilities as they affect all people.

There will also be time for information sharing and networking among municipal representatives and housing advocates.
