New Trier grad screens award-winning film

1990 NT Grad Jason Chaet premieres "PUTZEL" at Wilmette Theatre

Meet the Director and the Actor/Producer at the pos-screening reception.

The endearing comedy of a young man's journey of self-discovery amidst the pull of family ties all knotted up in a family business, "PUTZEL" won Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the Prescott Film Fest. Walter "Putzel" Himmelstein dreams of taking over the Manhattan smoked fish shop owned by his family but a new customer de-rails everyone's plans.
Starring John Pankow, Melanie Lynskey, Jack T. Alexander, Susie Essman, Brian Park and Allegra Cohen.
Chicago-area premiere SAT. Oct. 12 at 7:00, followed by Q&A with director Chaet and actor Allegra Cohen, and catered reception by NY Bagel and Bialy, Chubby Love Cupcakes, and The Bottle Shop. Tickets $20 adults, $10 students
