Last Blast of Summer Block Party

Winnetka Community House is joining together many local

organizations to finish out summer with a fun event for the whole community!  Bring the entire family August 24 to celebrate everything that makes the North

Shore great!  The Last Blast of Summer will feature a

Pet Parade, arts and crafts, carnival games and more. Admission is free, but with the purchase of a

wristband, kids will have unlimited access to a 24-foot climbing wall,

inflatables, pony rides and a petting zoo. Food and drinks will also be sold.  Elliebee the Clown will be entertaining visitors, and there will also be performances

by Bopology, Bob Solone, Village Follies, Children’s Theatre of Winnetka,

guitarist Jordan Xidas and Winnetka Youth Organization.  Participating organizations include the Alliance for Early

Childhood, Children’s Theatre of Winnetka, Erika’s Lighthouse, Family Services

of Winnetka-Northfield, The Grand Food Center, Haven Youth & Family

Services, The Hadley School for the Blind, Junior League of Evanston-North

Shore, North Shore Art League, Open Communities, The Rotary Club of

Winnetka-Northfield, Samaritan Counseling Center, The Volunteer Center, Village

Follies, Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce, Winnetka Historical Society,

Winnetka Park District, Winnetka Youth Organization and Women’s Exchange.  Wristbands may be purchased in advance on-line at www.winnetkacommunityhouse.org/event/last-blast-of-summer.
