The Northfield Township Road District will accept hazardous household materials for safe, legal disposal from Township residents. Household chemicals accepted include antifreeze, cleaning products, charcoal lighter fluid, driveway sealer (in limited quantities), drain cleaners, paint thinners, gasoline in approved containers, insecticides, and herbicides. The chemicals will be prepared by Road District staff for safe shipment to the Heritage Environmental Services facility for proper disposal or recycling.
