Minkyoo Shin - Organist

 Hear her incredible talent as well as the organ’s full
capabilities on February 16th. Her program will include
“Dance” for organs written in different musical periods.   Guest pianist Mischa Zupko will join her in some duos for piano and organ.  Minkyoo Shin earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and a Master’s Degree from the Yale School of Music. She received her doctorate in organ performance and literature with a
minor in music theory at Indiana University. As an organist she has received a number of awards including first-place
in the Regional division and finalist in the National division of the American Guild of Organists competition.  Besides
serving as music director at Lutheran Church of the Ascension, she is on the music faculty at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois.
