Author Event: Peggy Wolff, Editor of Fried Walleye and Cherry Pie: Midwestern Writers on Food

Enjoy a delicious evening with Glencoe’s own Peggy Wolff, editor of the newly published anthology Fried Walleye and Cherry Pie: Midwestern Writers on Food. Ms. Wolff will speak about her inspiration for her book, about the genre of “Food Lit,” and about working with a diverse group of writers. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing.

Contributing writers to Fried Walleye include such luminaries as Elizabeth Berg, who writes about the comforts of her aunt’s meatloaf; “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” radio host Peter Sagal, who ponders the ethics of pâté; Robert Olmstead, with a digression on Cincinnati five-way chili and its connection to Aztec culture; and Jon Yates, who feeds us an ode to the fried pork tenderloin sandwich.
