Biographies of Caucus-slated candidates are available online

Please visit www.winnetkacaucus.org for personal statements from the Winnetka Caucus-slated candidates running in the April 5, 2011 election.

The 2011 Caucus Council is proud to support our slated candidates. They were selected to represent the community at this particular time given what the community has identified as important through the 2010 Caucus Survey. The Caucus Council looks at the balance on the full board with its recommendations,
recognizing on behalf of the community that a good board must achieve the right demographic balance and range of expertise that the board needs at that time. As a board becomes imbalanced (as defined by the responses to the Caucus Annual Survey), residents, through the Caucus system, have the opportunity to correct
that through the slating process. The community makes its own judgment at the Annual Town Meeting and then again on election day.

As individuals, each slated board member has demonstrated:

  • integrity;
  • that they are not associated with any agenda;
  • that they have been or will be diligent in their research so as to bring a maximum amount of factual information to their board’s decision making;
  • independent thinking and decision-making;
  • a demonstrated ability to assimilate information quickly; and
  • professionalism.

In conjunction with the biographies of our slated candidates, the Caucus Council hopes that these statements will give Village residents a thorough understanding of who the candidates are and what they hope to bring to our community through their Board service.

If you have thoughts or reactions to these statements, please let us know by emailing us at info@winnetkacaucus.org. We will make every effort to respond to you within a reasonable timeframe given that we are a volunteer organization.
