Multiple Bikes Stolen Across Winnetka

The following arrest information was provided by the Winnetka Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft
A victim on the 900 block of Green Bay Rd. reported that on June 27, an unknown offender removed her debit card from her wallet without her consent and made unauthorized purchases, police reports state. The amount of loss is reported at $224.14. 

Assist Other Law Enforcement Agency
Robert E. Kelly, 43, of Winnetka was arrested for an outstanding traffic warrant out of Lake County, police reports state. Kelly was taken into custody and processed according to procedure. The arrest was made on July 1. 

Theft
A complainant discovered that an unknown offender(s) removed a street sign from the northeast corner of Elm St. and Glendale Ave., police reports state. The incident occurred on July 4. Public works was notified to replace the sign. The amount of loss is $50. 

Theft
A victim discovered that an unknown offender(s) removed her unsecured bicycle from the corner of Elm St. and Maple Ave., police reports state. The incident occurred on July 4. The bike is described as a women's powder room 'Electra Townie' with a tan wicker basket and a white seat. The amount of loss is reported at $400. 

Theft
A victim discovered that an unknown offender removed her unsecured bicycle from the west wall area of McDonald's at 858 Green Bay Rd. The bicycle is described as a silver girl's Schwinn with a pink bell on the handle, reports state. The amount of loss is $200. 

Theft
A victim discovered on July 6 that an unknown offender(s) removed the bench from the sidewalk at 735 Elm St., police reports state. The bench is described as a black wooden bench with peeling paint. The amount of loss is reported at $700. 

Burglary
A victim on the 1000 block of Ash St. reported that an unknown offender(s) removed a Sony Playstation 3 from his garage on July 7, police reports state. A west side garage window was broken. The amount of loss is reported at $300. 

Traffic Arrest
Thomas Bogacz, 51, of Des Plaines is being charged with unlawful display of registration, police reports state. The arrest was made subsequent to a traffic stop on the 1000 block of Hill Rd. His court date is set for August 19.
