CASA Lake County's Golf for a Child Invitational June 16 at Kemper Lakes Golf Course

Golfers will have an excellent opportunity to help abused children while at the same time enjoying themselves at the 15th annual CASA Lake County Golf for a Child Invitational to be held June 16 at the championship Kemper Lakes Golf Course in Kildeer.

The event is sponsored by UL, the John Buck Company, Autohaus on the Edens and Mickey Finn’s to benefit CASA Lake County located in Vernon Hills. People who do not golf are invited to come for the dinner and auction that will be held in the late afternoon.

Money raised from the Invitational will help make a positive impact on the lives of helpless abused children assigned to CASA Lake County volunteer advocates by juvenile court judges.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Lake County is a non-profit organization committed to acquiring, training and supervising volunteer advocates to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in the juvenile justice system. Research shows that a child with a CASA volunteer advocate is less likely to experience further abuse; moves more rapidly through the court system; stays an average of 10 months less in foster care; and is more likely to be adopted into a safe and permanent home.
