It is my great pleasure to introduce my art enrichment program with Debbie Kramer at Soul 2 Sole Dance Inc.!  For me teaching art is not only a career, but a lifelong passion.  There is no greater thrill than seeing my students light up with joy as we explore the world of art.  My experiences are culturally broad.  I have taught art for the last 15 years on the North Shore at Braeside and Sherwood schools.  It has always been a dream of mine to have my own art enrichment program and to be able to combine my art expertise with years of experience working with children as emerging artists.  I am thrilled to work with Debbie and everyone at Soul 2 Sole and provide a place for children to explore freely in a creative environment.

Why this program?

It’s all about connections!  Through the creative and collaborative nature of this program, emerging artists will develop skills that are transferable in the school environment, specially with the arts integration of the common core standards.  Emerging artists will be exposed to a variety of projects and mediums as they develop fine motor skills and learn to work cooperatively and collaboratively with one another.  This is not art in a box! This a well designed, unique art experience for young artists to learn, grow and appreciate the arts!

The Art Enrichment Program includes:

Connections to famous artists from past to present

            Matisse to Murakami

Connections to multiple mediums

            Pastels to Paints

Connections to children’s literature

            Mo Willems, Eric Carle, Tomie DePaola

Connections to Common Core Standards

            Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, hands on experience
