'What's in a Name?': Grand Offers Free Rose to a Different Name Per Day

The Winnetka Grand Food Center has set out to make a lot of women's day.

The grocery store has recently started offering a free rose to those with the 'name of the day.' For example, on Thursday, women named Jen could stop into the store for a free rose. The women's name changes every day.

"It's something new, we wanted to try it out," said Manuela Peci, Floral Designer at The Grand.

Peci noted that the number of people stopping in for their free rose changes depending on the name.

"Sunday was Cathy, and we had a lot of people stopping in," Peci said. "One women said, 'I always buy flowers for other people, and now I get one for me!"

The name will continue to change daily for the foreseeable future.
