Laura Fitzpatrick recommended St. Joseph School in Wilmette and A Joyful Noise on Wilmette-Kenilworth's Facebook page. Any other recommendations?

Laura Fitzpatrick wrote on Wilmette-Kenilworth's Facebook page: "St Joe's is the best kept secret on the North Shore. It has a 8:30 start time to work with older siblings drop off, a pick your days option ( up to 5 days a week) and extended day options! All at very reasonable tuition rates. They are all great, but these are the ones I know!"

We love the Early Learning Center at the Glencoe Park District - the transition from a pre 2's mom and tot class to a great summer camp where we made friends for the school year was awesome for my son before starting in a 2's program. The whole building is bright and cheerful - recently entirely renovated - and the program director and teachers are energetic and all about teaching. This has been a great year for our son, I'm excited for my daughter to start when she's old enough!

We LOVE All Things Bright And Beautiful in Kenilworth. The teachers are all amazing and it is such a loving, nurturing environment. We feel very blessed to have a place like ATBB to afford our children such a positive start to their learning journey.

We send both of our boys to Wilmette Community and they both love it. The teachers are amazing and they come home every day talking about how much they did during the day. We would recommend WCNS to anyone!

We love Trinity Church Nursery School in Wilmette! TCNS has the most loving and talented Director, teachers and families! We have loved our time there thus far and cannot wait til our youngest is able to go in two years!

We have tried several schools in the area and love Glencoe Junior Kindergarten. The emerging curriculum is so thoughtfully designed and encourages kids to try things they might not on their own. The teachers invest a lot of time outside the classroom documenting and communicating about the kids' progress and interests so parents know what is going on inside the classroom. GJK is really on the cutting edge of research into early childhood development. Our kids were well prepared for kindergarten. The opportunities for parents to connect and learn is phenomenal too.

We just switched to Willow Wood Preschool in Winnetka and could not be happier! What a wonderful place for children to learn to love "school"!

Our three children have attended The French School. We could not have asked for a better start to their education. Without speaking French in the home, our 4 year old speaks it fluently, is happy and thriving at school.

Willow Wood has provided a warm, nurturing environment for my children and certainly has instilled a love of learning in them. It is a vibrant, caring school in a beautiful neighborhood environment. Highly recommended.

All Things Bright and Beautiful (ATB&B) was a critical constant for our family when transitioning from living in Chicago to moving to the North Shore. We first learned about ATB&B from our close friend who was a teacher there. She was able to provide us a great understanding of the program and we knew it was going to be great, so over the next year, both of our toddler boys enrolled in the program. It was during this time, as we were settling in our new home, that Mrs. Mary exemplified the spirit and support of ATB&B. Our younger toddler - while at home - had a terrible spill and I had to take him to the ER. In notifying ATB&B that I would have trouble picking up our older boy, Mrs. Mary found out we were heading to Evanston Hospital and literally dropped everything to meet us there and comfort our young one (and me!). She was truly amazing! I’m sure this is just one example of the love and caring that ATB&B provides to the North Shore community. We are happy to recommend ATB&B!

Hands down WILMETTE COMMUNITY NURSERY SCHOOL is THE best preschool in New Trier Township! Don't just ask me -- ask my two children (3rd will be there next year)! So many wonderful things to say, so little space to write about the amazing Director, staff, curriculum, environment, and community. My family is SO fortunate to be part of this preschool that has been serving the New Trier Township for over 50 Years!

Please add Winnetka Covenant Church Preschool to your list! It is on the corner of Illinois and Hibbard. It is the BEST!!! Warm, friendly, sensible, current, smart, loving is how I would characterize this early childhood program. Check it out. All three of my children went there and as an Early Childhood educator myself, I couldn't have picked a better preschool!!!!

We have two daughters. One attended Banner Preschool which we LOVED. Adell Kabins does a fabulous job running the school where the idea is to learn and have FUN learning. The school runs off the Reggio model of preschool learning and the children explore, engage, develop and foster lasting friendships. What's not to love? While there are many preschools to chose from one is sadly not represented on this list and should be. The Connecting Kids preschool housed at Romona Elementary School here in Wilmette is one not to miss. This school features a blended school model that teaches children what most school settings will be like once they enter into the big kid school environment. There's many of the same concepts most children learn from all these preschools BUT the one facet that becomes wonderful and unique is ALL children from various walks and learning challenges are learning how to engage with each other, Children from this school are prepared I think all the better in how to learn diversity at it's finest. Another bonus is their school calendar runs off of the District 39 curriculum calendar which is HUGE for those who have older children already in the system - makes for great scheduling for the family http://www.wilmette39.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=355&Itemid=1196

I second that. Mary Johnson is an amazing leader. I especially loved hearing the teachers tell the kids at outdoor recess time to " go out and enjoy your childhood". So true.

Strange - I didn't consider Kid Motion to be a preschool. (?)

ST. JOSEPH PRESCHOOL has a wide range if options for students and parents. St. Joes has an awesome 2 year old program (parents drop off the children for independent activities), excellent 3-5 year old program, and amazing junior kindergarten for 4-5 year olds. All programs offer flexible days and easy drop off for the kids 3 years or older (I never leave my car)! The teachers are incredible and my kids are always excited to go to school! Next year the 3-5 year old program will extend the school day from 2.5 hours to 3 hours in both the morning and afternoon programs. While St. Joseph Preschool is a Catholic school, all faiths are welcome. I encourage any parent looking for a loving and safe environment and an excellent curriculum to visit St. Joes. You won't be disappointed! www.stjosephwilmette.com

We have been very happy with St.Joseph Preschool. The St. Joseph community has been warm and welcoming. The teachers and the princple are top notch. We couldn't ask for a better start for our kid's academic experience.

Trinity has been a terrific school for my daughter. The teachers are exceptional. The children have experienced Van Gogh, Monet, Tchaikovsky, the Pilgrims, Princesses and Princes, cowboys and cowgirls. In science, they have learned about the Earth, tadpoles and frogs, water, and more. Then there are the learning centers and Spanish class. Trinity is a wonderFULL preschool.

Willow Wood Preschool is amazing.. Hands down the best preschool in the area. The warm nurturing environment and positive energy had me at the tour! Willow Wood has made our move to a new suburb a breeze. My little lady loves it here, and I love the moms! What a stroke of luck choosing Willow Wood, instant friends!
