Summer Bike Tips from Green Bay Cycles

Check out these tips for keeping both you and your bike safe during summer rides.

Between the heat and the occurring bike thefts across the area, summer bike riding can be tough. Luckily, Green Bay Cycles co-owner Pam Faulkner has a few great tips to keep you cruising the rest of the season.

She especially recommends that all riders stay hydrated during the entire ride.

"You need proper hydration before the ride, not just during," she said. "If you start out dehydrated, it only gets worse."

She also recommend keeping all exposed skin covered in sunscreen.

"Sunscreen is imperative on highly exposed areas — like your nose, lips, arms, hands, knees and the rim of your ear," Faulkner said.

Check out more of her tips in the captions above.
