Patch Poll: Do Higher Gas Prices Change Your Habits?

With the average gallon of gas above $4, we're comparing national behaviors with our local reactions.

Using our handy Commute feature, you'll notice that the cheapest gas prices, at $4.46 per gallon, can be found in Glencoe at Shell Service Station, 635 Vernon Ave.

Yet we're curious what that means to your wallet. Adam Davidson wrote in the New York Times Magazine on Sunday that the gas prices are not changing American consumer behavior, while the Real Time Economics blog of The Wall Street Journal wrote that consumers are worried more about gasoline prices than about job opportunities.

So we're asking you: Has the rise in gas prices impacted your consumer habits? Let us know in the comments section why or why not.
