Store owners in Hubbard Woods have launched a unique initiative called Hubbard Woods Design District.
The initiative - which is made up of 52 business owners - will focus on creating a better sense of community among the businesses. Each business received a banner to hang up outside their buildings to use on special, district-wide events, such as Chocolate Walk in Nov.
The businesses will stay open later on Wednesday nights for patrons visiting the farmer's market or concerts in the park as part of the initiative. They have also printed maps of the district for shoppers to use while visiting.
