Cafe Aroma Shakes Up Dinner Offering

Cafe Aroma, a downtown favorite known for its coffee drinks and sandwiches, has unveiled an entirely new dinner concept, led by new head chef Joseph Wojciechowski.

"He is amazing," said Aroma owner Mitra Ryndak  "He makes everything in house - even the blueberry compote for the cheesecake."

Aroma unveiled its brand new dinner offerings last Friday, to rave reviews. Dinners have an entirely different menu than lunch, with everything handmade and fresh, local ingredients. Wojciechowski previously worked for Michael's in Winnetka and The Signature Room in Chicago.

"The new menu, new chef and wait staff are great!" wrote Yelp reviewer Cindy D. about the brand new offerings. "Everyone thinks of this as a coffee or lunch spot ...but the dinners are superb. Everything we tried had a unique gourmet taste that worked."

The new menu offers a variety of types of foods, from hazelnut crusted Brie salad to homemade gnocchi to sea scallops. There is also a dessert menu to tempt even the strictest of dieters, with dishes like citrus tiramisu (made wit lemoncello) and Gran Marnier cheesecake with blueberry compote.

"He is such a cool guy," Ryndak said about the new chef. "And [our first night] was great. Everyone liked absolutely everything!"
