Brittany Fawcett Keeps Moving Forward

Aspiring lawyer Brittany Fawcett has big plans because, as Chicago planner Daniel Burnham famously said, "Make no little plans."

Brittany's a graduate student from Glencoe and is currently a hostess at Hubbard Inn in Chicago. Her job at Hubbard Inn is almost one of those "rags-to-riches" stories: she walked in looking for a job, she ran into manager Glenn Ventura, they clicked, she started the next day.

Brittany has already graduated from Northwestern University, but she also wants to graduate from Northwestern University Law School. As a lawyer Brittany could become another:
Anita Alvarez - Cook County State's Attorney
Hillary Rodham Clinton - former U.S. Secretary of State/former U.S. Senator
Angela Elbert - Chicago law firm Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg/Top Ten Illinois Lawyer 2013
Mara Georges - Chicago law firm Daley & Georges/former Chicago Corporation Counsel
Christine Lagarde - Managing director of International Monetary Fund/former chair of Chicago law firm Baker & McKenzie
Lisa Madigan - Attorney General of Illinois
Taisa Markus - NY law firm Paul Hastings/University of Illinois College of Law(cum laude)/Loyola University(cum laude)
Michelle Obama - U.S. first lady/formerly of Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin

Brittany grew up in Glencoe (her late dad's from Highland Park) and she comes from a large extended family including: Dorothy Campfield - grandma, Martha Campfield - mom, Roger Campfield - uncle, Craig Fawcett - dad, Rodney McKinney - stepdad.

Brittany's a graduate South Elementary School in Glencoe and New Trier High School in Winnetka. Brittany might someday join the New Trier "Famous Alumni" list that includes: Adam Baldwin, Ross Baumgarten, Carlos Bernard, Judy Biggert, Elizabeth Brackett, Ann Callaway, Liz Callaway. Katie Chang, Ann Compton, Bruce Dern, Charlton Heston, Rock Hudson, Walter Jacobson, Mark Kirk, Charles Percy, Mike Pyle, Donald Rumsfeld, Scott Turow, Rainn Wilson, plus Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his brother Ari.

Brittany says she has big plans to serve the public, but that she'll also need a private practice to help pay off her student loans. Until then, she's paying off her student loans at the Hubbard Inn on Hubbard Street in Chicago, the site of her "rags-to-riches" story.
