Schmidt-Burnham Log House Open!

Come visit our c1830s log house! This unique house allows visitors to explore life as a pioneer in the 1850s. The original portion of the house remains nearly the same as when it was built in 1837. The 1917 addition showcases the Burnham family’s creativity and artistic abilities. Costumed docents provide tours of the house and history of its occupants. $5 adults $3 children (age 6-17). Free to Winnetka Historical Society members and children 5 and under.
