In third grade Richard Laible got a magic kit for 50-cents and 2 cereal box tops. From there he toured the states performing comedy until landing a gig at Chicago’s world famous The Second City improvisational comedy theater.

At 6’7”, Dennis DeBondt truly is the Sears Tower of magic. Dennis dazzles his audience with his quick wit and warm personality. His “very funny magic” is a blend of improvisational work with the famed Second City and more than 20 years of performing across the nation. Dennis makes you part of the magic.

Collectively, these two giants of comedy have performed in every state in the union as well as internationally and even at sea. Richard has written and performed in hundreds of corporate industrials for Fortune 500 companies as well as opened for Jay Leno, Chicago, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Doobie Brothers and many more. Dennis tours and performs in Chicagoland, and for clients including McDonald’s, United Airlines, Morgan Stanley and plenty more. Chicago magazine raves that audience members “drop their jaws when DeBondt pulls a playing card, chosen at random by a member of the audience, out of his shoe” and says Dennis is “so funny he could probably drop the magic and just do straight comedy.”

Both are Chicagoland natives -Richard and his family live in Winnetka while Dennis lives in Chicago- but with all the time they spend on the road, we’re lucky to catch them here for one night only.
